Grand Rapids, Mich. — The Aquinas College men's basketball team traveled to Spring Arbor, Michigan, for their 5:00 p.m. contest with the Spring Arbor Cougars. SAU managed to distance themselves from the Saints by 12 in the first, AQ had a stronger showing in the second but was not strong enough to keep them in contention for the win. With the end of the second half, AQ was defeated 83-60.

The Cougars pounced on the opening of the first and established a 17-point lead. AQ bounced back and began to find their edge, but could not rally the opening difference. Exiting the first half Spring Arbor led 38-26.
The second half opened similar to the first with the Cougars once again springing into action early. The Saints then replayed their first-half actions with regaining their balance and began to chip away at the difference. Once again the difference was too great and the Cougars took the contest 83-60 with the final blow of the horn.
