Marion, Indiana - The women's track and field team began competition yesterday at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three day meet is being contested on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University. 

The Saints competed in four events and were led by the women's 4x800 meter relay. The quartet of Ronnie McMillan, Ella Koons, Lauren Wooer, and Cadence Schultz combined to run a season best of 9:22.21 to finish 15th overall. Kaydence Richardson competed in the Hammer Throw and placed 20th with a toss of 161-1, while Kaylee Diamond placed 23rd (16-9 1/4) in the long jump. Shaily Baynes competed in the pole vault, but did not clear her opening bar. 

The women will have a break today and return to action tomorrow with Kaylee Diamond in the High Jump and Maelie Hope in the Discus.
