Asheville, North Carolina - The women's track and field team concluded their season with a trio of outstanding performers on the third day of the NAIA Outdoor National Championships.  The Saints would place seventh overall as a team with 25 total points. The team finish marks the highest finish ever at the outdoor championships for the Saints.  British Columbia won the meet with 101.5 points, while Cumberlands finished second with 52 points.

Maelie Hope started the day for the Saints with a national runner-up finish in the women's discus. Hope's toss of 155-11 placed second in the twenty person field. Hope was seeded eighth entering the competition and now has five All American honors in her career.  Also starring for the Saints was Alexis Furgason in the high jump. Furgason tied her personal best with a jump of 5-7 to place fifth out of 23 competitors. Furgason concludes her career as two-time All American in her specialty event.

Madison Rempalski, who entered the meet as the ninth seed, smashed her personal best by five second to place fifth overall in the 1500 meters. Her time of 4:29.75 only trails Aquinas legend Adri Sigafoose on the Saints All Time List.  Rempalski would come back ninety minutes later to place twelfth in the 5000 meters in a time of 17:50.33. Madi finished the year with All American honors in cross country, indoor track & field, and outdoor track & field.

The women's track & field team concludes one of the best season's in school history and looks to build upon their successes as they look to the future.
