Women's Cross Country NAIA Coaches' Poll - No. 4
Kansas City. Mo. — The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the Women's Cross Country Top 25 Coaches' Poll on Thursday (Oct. 30). The Saints, who were slated 12th in the previous poll, dropped eleven spots to take over the #23 position in the country.
Aquinas opened their season with a second place finish at the Calvin University Diemer Classic. The Saints tallied 37 points and only trailed the host Calvin University Knights in the final results. Aquinas would then best an eleven team field to win the Siena Heights Invitational by 38 points. The Saints continued to find success as Aquinas would win the Seminole Valley Stampede in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The Saints posted the fastest team time (6000 meters) in school history and outdistanced themselves from 16 other institutions in the final results. Most recently, the Saints finished in tenth place at the annual NAIA Great Lakes Challenge contested at Riverside Park.
The Saints, who are looking to claim their first WHAC title since 2020, finished second in 2024 and find themselves behind one other WHAC school in the Top 25. Cornerstone sits at No. 6 in the current poll.
Coach Wojciakowski added, "We took a hit in the rankings, but our focus and plan for the end of the season remains the same. We have a special group of student-athletes and I am excited to see them compete in our championships meets."
The Saints will return to action on November 7th when they travel to Adrian,Michigan. The WHAC Women's Cross Country Championships will be contested at Heritage Park, with the women's 6K starting at 4pm.
