Grand Rapids, Michigan - Will Mastenbrook, the son of Lisa and Bill Mastenbrook, has signed his national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Aquinas College. Mastenbrook, who recently graduated from Spring Lake High School, became the fourth signee of the 2025-26 recruiting class for the Aquinas College men's cross country and track & field programs.
Mastenbrook simply stated, "The atmosphere is great and the campus is beautiful."
Will, who also enjoys pickup basketball, spike ball, and hiking, has posted personal bests that include 11.91 (100 meters) and 24.29 (200 meters) on the track. Mastenbrook, who has garnered varsity letters in both soccer and track & field, will be a welcomed addition to the program and the campus community.
Kelly Keefe, the heads boy's track & field coach for the Lakers added, "Over the last two seasons, Will has been the top long jumper and one of the top sprinters in our program. He excels at getting out of the blocks, making him an asset to lead off the sprint relays. Will's leadership, competitiveness, and determination make him the great athlete that he is. I look forward to watching him excel at the next level with Aquinas."
Will has two siblings named Anna and Izzy and he plans on majoring in Environmental Science at Aquinas College.
Aquinas associate head coach Kevin Winne commented, "We are excited to add Will to our track program next year. He will add some much needed depth in our sprint group and with a strong work ethic will be able to turn himself into a solid sprinter at the collegiate level."
