Grand Rapids, Michigan - Jack Monroe, the son of Andrea and Eric Monroe, has signed his national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Aquinas College. Monroe, who recently graduated from GR Catholic Central High School, became the eleventh signee of the 2025-26 recruiting class for the Aquinas College men's cross country and track & field programs.

Monroe simply stated, "Everything about Aquinas is what I was looking for. It aligns with my faith and everything I want to do in life."

Jack, whose hobbies include pickup basketball, frisbee, music, and swimming, has posted personal bests that include 51.3 (400 meters) and 5,650 points (decathlon). He was a part of Catholic Central's 2023 state title in football and he qualified for the state meet in swimming and track & field. Jack claimed the regional title in discus his senior year and also qualified for the Junior Olympics in the decathlon.

Jackson Fox, recently retired head boys track & field coach for the Cougars added, "Jack Monroe has built a strong and versatile career as a standout athlete for the Catholic Central track and field program. Competing across multiple track and field disciplines, Monroe developed into a well-rounded athlete whose work ethic and competitive drive helped him grow into one of the team's most dependable performers. His versatility in the sport will help him as he transitions to a decathlete with the Aquinas College track and field program."

Jack has two siblings named Charles and Molly and he will be majoring in Clinical Exercise Science at Aquinas College.

Aquinas associate head coach Kevin Winne commented, "We are excited to welcome Jack to Aquinas Track and Field. Jack is everything we look for in an AQ student athlete and has the opportunity to be a very good multi at the collegiate level."
