Allendale, Michigan - The women's track & field team returned to action this weekend with a two-day meet at Grand Valley State University. Despite less than ideal conditions, the Saints were able to score many personal bests and finish high in many events at the annual Al Owens Classic.

Cadence Schultz highlighted the day for the Saints as she placed 6th in the 800 meters. Her time of 2:17.99 was a lifetime best.  She then would lead off the 4x400 meter relay to conclude the meet. Schultz teamed up with Ella Koons, Lauren Wooer, and Amber Koole to turn in a season best 4:05.71. Maelie Hope also captured a career best as she recorded a 12.31 in the 100 meter dash. Her time placed 3rd overall and she also tallied top ten finishes in the shot put (39-10.75) and the discus (140-3). The distance group was led by Mallory Bowker's personal best in the 5000 meters. Her time of 18:53.94 spearheaded a big day for the Saints in the 5000 meters.

Presley Avery continues to excel in the triple jump as she placed 6th in a new personal best of 33-10.75.  Lindsey Strutz continues to move up the top five board as she jumped to 4th All-Time in the women's javelin. Her toss of 120-1 eclipses Megan Hicks' mark from 2017.  Also having a standout day in the ring was Maria Skrycki who PR's on four different throws to establish a new personal best of 132-1 in the hammer throw.

Aquinas will return to Allendale next weekend for the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet.
