NAIA Release
Kansas City, Mo. — The latest National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Coaches' Poll has placed the Aquinas College men's lacrosse team in sixth, its highest ranking all season.
The Saints have been in the national spotlight since the preseason rankings offered on Wednesday (Jan. 22), where AQ was listed as seventh. The following poll (Feb. 26) saw Aquinas drop to eighth without playing a single contest. The team has remained in eighth for the remainder of the season until the most recent poll on Wednesday (Apr. 9).
AQ has had another impressive season underneath first-year Head Coach
Peter Treppa, and first-year Assistant Coach
Matt Wagner, amassing an 8-1 (2-0) record. The only loss coming from the then No. 5 rated Reinhardt Eagles, who now sit ranked second.
This season, AQ has taken down then (RV) Benedictine, then (RV) Tennessee Wesleyan, and then No. 9 Concordia.
