Women's 4x800 Relay Claims All American Honors

Marion, Indiana - The women's track and field team continued competition today at the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. The three day meet is being contested on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University. 

The Saints competed in four events and were led by the women's 4x800 meter relay. The quartet of Cadence SchultzElla Koons, Amber Koole, and Lauren Wooer combined to run 9:16.10 to finish seventh overall and earn All American honors. It was the first All American honor for Schultz, Koons and Koole, while Wooer collected her second distinction. This marks the ninth time in AQ history that the women have achieved All American accolades in the outdoor 4x800 meter relay. Madison Remplaski competed in the 5000 meters and advanced to tomorrow's final with a time of 17:53.68.  Lindsey Strutz completed her heptathlon and finished eleventh overall. She moved up three spots on day two as she competed in the long jump (4.97m), javelin (36.80m), and 800 meters (2:41.09).  Shaily Baynes competed in the pole vault.

The women will also have Maelie Hope competing in the discus on the final day of competition.
