Allendale, Michigan - The women's track & field team traveled to Grand Valley State University on Friday afternoon for the annual Bill Clinger Classic. Aquinas saw many outstanding performances, tallied numerous personal bests, added to the Saints All-Time List and recorded national qualifying efforts.

On the track, the women's middle distance athletes provided the spark for the Saints attack.  Madison Rempalski would win her heat of the Mile in a lifetime best of 5:00.92. Her time was a provisional qualifier for the national championships and moved her up to #4 on the Saints All-Time List. Aquinas would later record five of the top eight spots in the women's 600 meters. Lauren Wooer led the charge with a fourth place finish in a time of 1:38.56. The Saints proceeded to take the next four spots in the final results with outstanding efforts by Amber Koole (5th - 1:39.25), Lexi Hurst (6th - 1:39.26), Cadence Schultz (7th - 1:39.42) and Ella Koons (8th - 1:40.71). Koole, Wooer, Hurst, and Schultz would later team up in the 4x400 meter relay to place seventh in a time of 4:03.67.

Maelie Hope continues her fantastic junior season as she re-broke her school record in the 60 meter dash. Hope's time of 7.60 in the prelims bettered her mark of 7.62 from the previous week. She would finish second in the event and improve on her provisional qualifying mark.  Maelie also had a big day in the field as she placed fourth (57-10.5) in the invitational section of the weight throw.  She also would hit a provisional qualifying mark in the shot put with a toss of 44-6.25 to place fifth.  Lexi Furgason continues to impress in the high jump as the senior cleared 5-5 3/4 to win the event. She currently has the #4 jump in AQ history and has a provisional qualifier in her specialty event.  Also starring in the field events for Aquinas was Ava Iverson who cleared a lifetime best in pole vault (10-8.75).

Aquinas will return to action on Friday as the Saints host the Grand Rapids Sports Hall of Fame Classic at the Alksnis Athletic and Recreation Building. The meet will begin at 5 p.m.
