Grand Rapids, Michigan - Danny Leonard, the son of Rachel Bailey, has signed his national letter of intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Aquinas College. Leonard, who recently graduated from Clare High School, became the twelfth signee of the 2025-26 recruiting class for the Aquinas College men's cross country and track & field programs.

Leonard simply stated, "From the first picture of campus I just had a feeling this was the right place for me and after touring it exceeded my expectations and I am excited to study here at Aquinas!"

Danny, whose hobbies include hanging with friends and listening to music, has posted personal bests that include 25.3 (200 meters) and 19-7 (long jump). He was named Most Improved for the track & field team at Clare and he also enjoys video games, fishing, and hiking.

Adam Burhans, head boys track & field coach for the Pioneers added, "Danny is a naturally gifted long jumper who, with the help of Aquinas, will take him to new heights."

Danny has two siblings named Calaya and Joshua and he will be majoring in Environmental Science at Aquinas College.

Aquinas assistant coach Matt Burton commented, "I am glad that Danny has elected to continue his academic and athletic pursuits at Aquinas College. I look forward to working with Danny and watching him develop as a collegiate athlete."
