The AQ men's track and field team continued competition on Friday (Mar. 6) at the NAIA Indoor Championships in Brookings, South Dakota. The team is currently 12th in the team rankings with eight points.

The 4x800 meter relay team of
Robert Morse,
Matt MacGregor,
Connor McGee and
Grayson Harding finished as the national runner-up with a second place time of 7:38.29 in the finals. It is the team's best time of the season beating Thursday's preliminary time of 7:45.22. AQ was only one second behind Wayland Baptist who won the National Championship in the event crossing the line 7:37.62. AQ achieved All-American status.Â

Gannon Foley came in third-place in the mile semifinals with a time of 4:16.96 to qualify for Saturday's finals and attempt to achieve All-American status. It was his best time of the year beating out his finish of 4:18.71 at the WHAC Championships on February 22nd.

MacGregor finished third in the 800 meter semifinals with a season-best time of 1:55.30, his previous best was 1:56.11. He has qualified for Saturday's finals by winning his heat and looks to obtain All-American accolades.

Harding advanced to the finals in the 1000 meter finals through automatic qualification, he did not race on Friday.

Nate McKeown finished tied for 18th place in the high jump finals with a height of 1.96 meters (6-5 1/4).

Isaiah Jackson placed 24th in the 60 meter hurdles semifinals with a time of 10.13 seconds.

Evan Pugh finished in 24th place in the weight throw finals with a mark of 16.06 meters (52-8 1/4).

The Saints conclude the national championships on Saturday with 13 national final events beginning at 1:00 PM (CST).
