Faber Wins Pole Vault National Championship

Hunter Makes Finals in 60 Meter Hurdles at Day Two of NAIA Championships

Results

The Saints women's track and field team continued competition on Friday (Mar. 6) at day two of the NAIA Indoor Championships in Brookings, South Dakota. AQ is currently tied for seventh place in the team rankings with 10 points.
 
Victoria Faber won the national championship in the pole vault finals with a career-best leap of 4.12 meters (13-6 1/4). Her victory is AQ"s fifth national championship in an individual event in AQ program history. She broke her old school record of 3.87 meters five times on Friday night.
 
Tyra Hunter came in fourth place in the 60 meter hurdles semifinals with a time of 8.79 seconds to qualify for Saturday's finals. She will compete for All-American status.
 
Tannah Adgate placed 19th in the women's mile semifinals with a time of 5:19.37.
 
Jakarri Alven finished in 21st place in the 400 meters semifinals with a time of 58.62 seconds.
 
Bailey Ballard came in 23rd place in the weight throw finals with a toss of 14.99 meters (49-2 1/4).
 
Laikyn Kulman competed in the pole vault as well.
 
AQ concludes the national championships on Saturday (Mar. 7) beginning at 1:00 PM (CST).
