Coach Terry Bocian AQ Athletic Hall of Fame
Cari (Blind) Setzler earned a Bachelor’s of Science in biology at Aquinas College in 2000. While a member of the
Aquinas College track and field team, Cari earned eight NAIA All-American Honors and was a national runner up in the
1000 meters indoor. Cari continues to hold five Aquinas College school records in the 1000 meter indoor, distance
medley relay indoor, 4x800 meter relay indoor, 800 meter outdoor and 4x800 meter relay outdoor. Cari earned her
Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Michigan State University in 2004. Sheis currently practicing small animal
medicine and is a Coaching Certification Instructor for the RRCA’s Coaching Certification program. Cari is a certified
level II USATF endurance coach and is certified in running mechanics. In 2010, she co-founded Fast Finish Coaching
where she has helped athletes reach their goals. Cari directs the Health Bridge Road Runners and is the assistant girl’s
track and field coach at Johnsburg High School (Ill.). Cari lives in Wonder Lake, Illinois, with her husband, Chris, where
she continues to train and compete in the Chicago Area Runner’s Association circuit and in national level USATF and
USAT events.
