Sylvester Jason Carver was recruited to Aquinas from Parchment High School in Kalamazoo, Michigan. As a member of the Aquinas College track and field team, Jason earned eleven NAIA All-American honors and continues to hold two school records in the 200 meter indoor and 200 meter outdoor events. He won the NAIA National Championships in 1999 for 200 meters outdoor and again in 2001 for the 55 meter indoor and 200 meter indoor. Jason was a three time recipient of the Pat Weiler Award for Most Outstanding Track performer and led the AQ track and field team to four consecutive indoor and four consecutive outdoor WHAC Championships. He was also a member of the Aquinas College men’s basketball team during the 1998-1999, 1999-2000, and 2001-2002 seasons. Jason has a passion for working with youth and young adults. Jason lives with his son, Isaiah, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he is a photographer and the owner of ShootOne Photography.
