The Aquinas men's cross country team competed at the Jayhawk Classic at University Park Golf Course in Muskegon, Michigan on a rainy Friday. Muskegon Community College hosted the meet.
 
AQ finished first out of eight teams from the state of Michigan with a score of 34 points. Aquinas finished ahead of WHAC rival Siena Heights who was second with a score of 40 points.
 
Gannon Foley was the top finisher for the Saints with a time of 25:52.2 and claimed fifth-place. Grayson Harding finished in the top-ten with an eighth place time of 26:26.6. Nick MacGeorge was 10th with a time of 26:29.9.
 
Ben Hylen finished 12th with a time of 26:42.9. Brendan Shannahan had a time of 26:47 and finished 14th. Jake Fair was one spot behind Shannahan in 15th place with a time of 26:49.9. Robbie Morse was 16th with a time of 26:55.5. Clayton Jones rounded out the Saints in the top-20 with a 19th-place time of 27:05.6.
 
Dylan Lame came in 22nd-place with a time of 27:14.3. Matt Fosdick was 26th with a time of 27:26.9. Sam James finished 27th with a time of 27:31.98. Daniel Oviedo came in 30th place with a time of 27:38.5.
 
Connor McGee had a time of 27:54.1 and was 34th. Nathan Maurer finished 47th and had a time of 28:15.8. Matt MacGregor came in 52nd place with a time of 28:36.5. Ken Wojcik finished 54th with a time of 28:42.2. Ben Peterson was 63rd with a time of 28:57.9. Jama Jama was 72nd with a time of 29:42.9. Kyle Eager came in 80th-place with a time of 30:39.8. Matthew Brines finished 84th with a time of 31:17.2. Matt Freigruber rounded out the Saints on the day with a 94th-place time of 33:02.01.
 
AQ competes next at the Grand Rapids JV Championships on Friday, October 18th.
